    The Winning North American Team

The 8th North America - Europe Golf Challenge in Japan, Mercedes-Benz Japan Cup, was played on Friday 1 October at Kokusai Country Club in Kanagawa Prefecture.

NA Team Captain Sam Kidder (ACCJ Executive Director) receives the trophy from Kintaro Ueno of Mercedes-Benz Japan.
This time, the North-American team came on top, but by the slimmest of margins. The average of the best 80% of the players for the North-American team was 74.76 when the average for the European team was 74.78, i.e. a difference of 0.02 strokes! As the European team had 56 players, of which 80% was counted (i.e. 45 players) in the team score, this means that in practice Europe lost by one stroke among any of the players counted in the team score..

The event, played in fine weather and warm was greatly enjoyed by the 121 players, 65 for Team North America, 56 for Team Europe.

The results from the Participants' Survey are now available!
