  About the DaimlerChrysler Cup

Organizers

The tournament is organized by The American Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ACCJ) and the European Business Community in Japan (EBC).

The Task Force in charge of the planning and practical arrangements consists of:
  • Joseph Lestage, ACCJ Programs Committee Chairman
  • Erik Ullner, EBC Vice Chairman
  • Clas G. Bystedt, FCCJ Executive Director

    Title Sponsor

We are proud to present DaimlerChrysler Japan as the Title Sponsor of the tournament. DaimlerChrysler is a true American-European company both in name and activities and represents perfectly the values of this tournament - increased cooperation between American and European corporations and individuals, both globally and specifically in Japan.

We also welcome other sponsors. To find out more about how to become a sponsor, click here.

    Who can participate?

    The tournament is open to:
    1. Members of the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ACCJ) and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Japan (CCCJ) and their respective embassies (in combination representing the North American Team), and
    2. Members of the European Chambers and other business organizations that are affiliated with the EBC and their respective embassies (in combination representing the European Team).
As the number of players is limited to 72 per team, especially in the case of Europe, it is possible that a quota may need to be invoked for each chamber.

What is there to play for?

Although this is a friendly tournament to be played in good spirit, it is also a serious competition. The winning team will hold the DaimlerChrysler Cup until the next tournament is held.

Thanks to prize donations from the title sponsor, and from a number of other sponsors, we expect that no player will leave empty handed from this event. Top players by net and gross score will receive valuable prizes.

    What is the cost?

The particpation fee is 24,000 yen, including play fee, caddie, lunch and party after play, service and tax.
The only additional costs are for breakfast and extra drinks not included in the lunch or party.
